Tribo-mechanical and cellular behavior of superficially modified porous titanium samples using femtosecond laser

In this work, the surface of porous titanium samples obtained by space-holder technique was treated with a femtosecond laser to improve their osseointegration. Instrumented micro-indentation and scratch test were implemented evaluate tribo-mechanical behavior modified samples. A detailed study micro-hardness, stiffness, resistance elastic recovery performed. Also, in vitro analysis carried out cellular behavior. Modified showed less ALP activity, which could indicate greater differentiation cells. The cell culture similar all cases although more differentiated morphology, good adherence biological response observed on Finally, discs pore size between 100–200 ?m present being potential candidates for replacement small portions damaged cortical bone tissues.
